Muntinlupa places 2 areas under 2-week 'extreme quarantine'
The local government of Muntinlupa has placed two areas in the city under a 15-day extreme localized community quarantine to contain the spread of COVID-19 among residents.
A report on Super Radyo dzBB said the quarantine started 6 a.m. of Saturday, March 13, and will run until 6 a.m. of March 28.
The two areas are:
- Cruzero Street, Villa Carolina 1, Barangay Tunasan, which reported a high attack rate of 57 person per 1,000 people from February 27 to March 6 and a doubling time of 2 days; and
- 124 Purok 1, Barangay Cupang, with an attack rate of 150 per 1,000 people from February 27 to March 6 and a doubling time of 1.0 day.
Both communities have a high population of either children, senior citizens and persons with disability.
Also, 124 Purok 1 was found to be congested where the social distancing rule is not strictly followed.

During those two weeks, the local government will provide round-the-clock and overall security. Residents will also get tested for the disease. Relief food packs will also be provided to the affected residents.
