Ex-GMA News cameraman and deskman Nap Pineda dies at 81
Former GMA News senior cameraman Napoleon Pineda died on January 8, Friday. He was 81.
Pineda covered the Quezon City government and the Northern and Western Police District with reporter Jimmy Gil during the mid-eighties up to the early nineties.
He also worked as deskman in a concurrent capacity in the mid-nineties until his retirement.
Pineda died Friday night of complications from an existing condition.
He is survived by wife Salud and children Luz Pineda-Martinez, Myra Pineda-Lazarte, Cynthia Pineda Oraif and Napoleon Pineda, Jr., sons in law Edgar, Jonathan and Mustafa, daughter-in-law Kathleen and 10 grandchildren: Angelo, Enzo, Maxine, Marcus, Kimi, Eli, Napoleon III, Nadeen, Ashley and Adam.

His wake will be held at St. Peter's Chapel on 1105 Roosevelt Avenue, Quezon City on Jan. 10 (3 p.m.-9 p.m.), Jan. 11 (8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.- 8 p.m.) and Jan. 12 (8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.-8 p.m.). Jan. 13 will be exclusive to immediate family.
