Replica of image of Black Nazarene brought to Manila Cathedral

The replica of the image of the Black Nazarene was welcomed into the Manila Cathedral on Saturday.

Before it was brought to Manila Cathedral, the replica was also carried to the San Lazaro Hospital, according to a report on 24 Oras.

The replica's visits are part of the Feast of the Black Nazarene activities this month.

Health protocols were strictly followed at the Manila Cathedral.

Monsignor Hernando Coronel, rector of the Basilica Minore of the Black Nazarene, celebrated the mass at the Manila Cathedral. 

The annual grand procession (Traslacion) of the life-sized image of the Black Nazarene held every January 9 in Manila was canceled for 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. —KG, GMA News
