2 dead, 6 families lost homes in Tondo fire —BFP

A fire in Tondo, Manila on Thursday morning left two people dead and six families homeless.

GMA News' Darlene Cay reported "Unang Balita" that the fire broke out in Barangay 47, Tondo, Manila.

Fire officials identified the  fatalities as Flor Hernandez and Gongocia Ramos --both senior citizens -- who were trapped in their burning house.

According to the report, the fire destroyed three houses, and left six families homeless.

An initial investigation showed that the fire started at the altar of the house.

Fire officials are still investigating the incident. —LBG, GMA News
