Truck gets caught in cable, breaks pole damaging 3 more vehicles in Manila

A truck got caught in wires and took down a pole while passing Yuseco Street in Barangay 232, Tondo, Manila on Sunday, according to a report of Manny Vargas on Dobol B sa News TV.

At least three vehicles including two tricycles and a Mitsubishi Adventure were damaged after debris fell on them.

The wires snagged the truck while it was on its way from Malabon to Pasig around 4 a.m.

Due to the curfew and quarantine, no residents were on the street when the incident happened.  

According to personnel of the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), the wires are telecommunications cables and not electric wires.

The connection of internet service in the area went out after the incident.

A part of the street was temporarily closed as the truck and debris have not yet been cleared off the road. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
