Alabang Country Club’s golf course shut down over tournament amid pandemic

The golf course of the Alabang Country Club was shut down by the Muntinlupa CIty government on Monday after learning that a tournament was held there in August amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a report by Jhomer Apresto on Super Radyo dzBB, the golf course was shut down for violating health and safety protocols.

The Muntinlupa government said it received a letter from Interior Secretary Eduardo Año last week citing reports that a golf tournament was held at the Alabang Country Club in August.

An investigation conducted by the local government found the reports to be true.

The local government did not indicate how long the closure would be in effect.
