Construction worker nabbed for alleged extortion, revenge porn
A 23-year-old construction worker was arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) for allegedly extorting money from a woman and leaking her sensitive photos and videos online after she threatened to break up with him.
According to Jonathan Andal’s “24 Oras Weekend” report on Sunday, Boyet Rondina leaked the nude photos and videos sent to him by the victim, a 36-year-old woman he met on Facebook.
The suspect sent the victim’s photos and videos to her relatives, including her partner.
“May kinakasama ‘yung babae. Ifinorward niya do’n lahat ‘yung videos, pictures. Do’n kumalat na ‘yung photos and videos. Hindi lang do’n sa pamilya niya, pati sa barangay e,” Guiagui said.
“Palabo nang palabo na kasi kami e,” Rondina said when asked why he leaked the sensitive content.
The victim told police that the suspect wanted to meet with her to have sex and also asked for money.
Rondina denied the accusation, saying that the victim sent him money amounting to P5,000 voluntarily.
“Hindi ako nanghihingi ng pera,” he said.
Guiagui said the victim was deeply upset when she finally faced the suspect after the entrapment operation.
“Actually after the operation no’ng nahuli siya is nabugbog niya ito, nasaktan niya ito. Kaso lang kanina, iyak talaga nang iyak,” he said.
Rondina will face charges for violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act in relation to Cybercrime Prevention Act.
— Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
