Floods cause standstill on EDSA, stalled cars on side streets
Heavy rains on Friday afternoon slowed EDSA traffic at the White Plains area to a standstill while causing cars that took the side streets to stall.
According to Jaime Santos’ report on “24 Oras,” CCTV footage from the Metro Manila Development Authority showed that both the northbound and southbound lanes of EDSA-White Plains were flooded on Friday afternoon.
Flood waters on Mother Ignacia and Sergeant Esguearra streets went waist-high, causing several cars to stall.
A portion of Timog Avenue, meanwhile, almost had zero visibility due to the strong rains while the tires of cars in Barangay Pinyahan were almost submerged in water. -Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
