Former Mandaluyong mayor Ernesto Domingo dies at 92
Former Mandaluyong City mayor Ernesto Domingo has passed away on Monday, March 30. He was 92.
According to his family, the former mayor died due to heart and lung failure. He tested negative for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Domingo served the constituents of Mandaluyong as councilor and city mayor for 16 years.
He was also an executive of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) executive for 25 years, and the head of DIAR’s Assistance, Inc. for 49 years.
Domingo's family announced the news of his passing on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 and said the wake, celebration of life and inurnment will be scheduled "once the quarantine period is lifted so our relatives, friends, and those whom he had served as councilor and city mayor for 16 years in Mandaluyong City, as Bank of the Philippine Islands( BPI) executive for 25 years, and as the Chairman/President of DIAR’s Assistance, Inc. for 49 years, can pay their last respect."
