700 families lost homes in Mandaluyong fire
Christmas will be bleak for some 700 families in Barangay Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City who lost their homes in a fire that started at 3 p.m. Friday, according to a report by Jonathan Andal on Saksi.
At least 13 individuals were hurt in the incident.
The report said that fire has been declared under control, but not yet out.
According to Fire Superintendent Christine Cula, Mandaluyong Fire Marshall, the fire started in a room, whose renter was out at the time of the blaze.
Fire fighters had a difficult time getting near the site due to the narrow passageways.
The victims are temporarily staying in a basketball court and are appealing for assistance to help them cope with the tragedy. —LDF, GMA News
