Traffic heavy on EDSA due to road reblocking
Motorists were met with heavy traffic on EDSA on Sunday due to the road reblocking projects being done on the major thoroughfare.
On EDSA near Santolan, the southbound traffic slowed down, according to GMA News reporter Bernadette Reyes.
This was due to the reblocking in front of Camp Crame Gate, on the first lane from the sidewalk; and from Annapolis Street going to V. V. Soliven, 2nd lane from the sidewalk.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways, other reblocking being done this weekend on EDSA are in the following areas:
- southbound from Panorama Building to Bansalangin Street, 1st lane from sidewalk
- southbound after Mother Ignacia, 2nd lane from sidewalk
- northbound after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk
The road reblocking will be finished by 5 a.m. on Monday.
Traffic was likewise heavy on Saturday due to the road reblocking.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority head of traffic Bong Nebrija appealed to the public for understanding, saying the roadwork is needed to rehabilitate EDSA. —KG, GMA News
