DPWH expects to complete Skyway Stage 3 Project by December
The Department of Public Works and Highways on Friday expressed confidence that Skyway Stage 3 Project would be operational by December, completing the full range of the highway network connecting NLEX and SLEX.
Citing DPWH information, GMA News' "Unang Hirit" reported that the completion and use of the project could help ease traffic in Metro Manila that peaks during the Christmas season.
DPWH's data show that the construction of the highway network's stage 3 is 75-percent complete.
The skyway project will eventually connect Makati City and Quezon City, starting SLEX in the south and ending at NLEX in the north.
Entry and exit ramps will be built at nodal points of the Skyway in the following areas: Buendia, Plaza Dilao, Nagtahan, E. Rodriguez, Quezon Avenue, Sergeant Rivera and Balintawak.
Full operation of the skyway is expected to ease traffic on EDSA, the DPWH said.
Earlier, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the Cavite-Laguna Expressway Segment will be operational in October.
