Mayor Isko praises cop caught on cam apprehending suspected snatcher

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Monday morning praised the Manila District policeman caught on video on August 2 arresting a suspected snatcher.

Moreno praised Patrolman Jonathan Stanley Dionisio during the flag raising ceremony in front of the Bonifacio Monument.

Dionisio was caught on cam on foot, chasing a man who reportedly stole a gold bracelet from jitney/jeepney passenger Rencenia Rafael.

In his attempt to escape, the man boarded a jeepney but as Dionisio approached, he alighted and tried to run.

Dionisio collared him but the man resisted.

The policeman was eventually able to subdue and handcuff him.

But the man was later on released after the victim failed to identify him as the snatcher. — Tina Pangiban-Perez/RSJ, GMA News
