Heavy traffic greets motorists on Marcos Highway on Monday morning

Heavy traffic greeted motorists along Marcos Highway on Monday following the closure of a portion of the Marcos Bridge in Marikina City.

According to an Unang Balita report by James Agustin, motorists experienced heavy traffic at the westbound lane of the Marcos Highway. This portion is for motorists going to Cubao.

Personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) were in the area to manage the traffic.

Earlier, MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia said the bridge's closure for rehabilitation will last for four months.

Affected  motorists were encouraged to take MMDA-designated alternate routes. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
