Toby Tiangco proclaimed new Navotas mayor; brother John Rey takes congressional seat


After three terms at the House of Representatives, Toby Tiangco sought a mayoral seat and won in the May 13 elections.

Tiangco, together with the winning local officials of Navotas City, were proclaimed Tuesday night, according to a report by Olan Bola on Super Radyo DZBB.

Tiangco's 78,778 votes beat Di Ang, who got 33,216 votes.

Clint Geronimo was elected vice mayor with 62,460 votes.  His rival RC Cruz obtained 46,680 votes.

Tiangco's brother, John Rey Tiangco, was elected representative of the lone congressional district of Navotas.  he got 80,265 votes as against the 30,050 votes of Marielle del Rosario.

Navotas City has 145,806 registered voters. —LDF, GMA News
