500 sacks of trash collected from Pasig River cleanup

Some 500 sacks of trash were collected from Pasig River in a cleanup drive over the weekend.

GMA News' "Balitanghali" reported Sunday that the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission was able to collect some 15,000 kilograms of trash from the Lawton-Parola secion of the Pasig River by Saturday noon.

The increase in the trash collection from the cleanup, the report said, was due to the dry season's tidal movement pushing back to shore and river systems the trash in the Manila Bay. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/LBG, GMA News
