NLEX Bocaue toll plaza slow-moving; heavy traffic at SLEX northbound

A slowdown in the movement of vehicles has been observed at some parts of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) since late afternoon on Sunday.

As of 7 p.m., a build-up at its Bocaue toll plaza was observed. Fifty-five collection points are now serving motorists in the area to facilitate faster transactions.

Vehicles are also slow-moving at the Balintawak area and the Mindanao Avenue link, according to NLEX Traffic Manager Robin Ignacio.

He said that a high volume of vehicles is expected in NLEX until early Monday.

"Tuloy-tuloy po hanggang ngayong gabi siguro bababa naman po, normally kapag magha-hatinggabi pero mataas pa rin po ang volume natin at inaasahan natin na 'yung taas ng volume na 'to ay hanggang bukas na po ng madaling araw," Ignacio said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

Meanwhile, as of 6:38 p.m., heavy traffic is also observed along the northbound lanes of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

Vehicle movement is slow at its Alabang Viaduct with traffic tail-end reaching Filinvest. Heavy traffic was also observed at its Ayala and Calamba toll plazas.
