900 families displaced after QC fire

About 900 families lost their homes to the fire that hit Barangay Baesa in Quezon City, according to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

Authorities said the fire spread quickly because most of the houses were made of light materials that about 300 houses were razed.

The cost of damage to property was pegged at P1.5 million.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said they had a difficult time putting out the fire as roads to the site were very narrow and that water supply was low. — BAP, GMA News
