Firm clears up elevator incident, condoles with victim's family
The Cyberpark 1 management on Sunday shed light on the elevator incident in Cubao, Quezon City that left an architect dead last Saturday evening.
In a statement, Cyberpark 1 clarified that the falling to death of Architect Michael Alfonso in the elevator did not involve a malfunction of the service conveyor.
Also, it said that the incident happened past operating hours when most of the lessees at the floor where the falling began had already closed shop.
Paramedics immediately responded, brought Alfonso to a hospital but he died eventually. An investigation is ongoing, the Cyberpark 1 management statement said.
The building management extended its "deepest sympathies" to the victims family, it added.
