Drug paraphernalia found under Cainta bridge where tied, bruised girl was discovered

Lighters, foil and other alleged drug paraphernalia were found under the Ortigas extension bridge in Cainta, Rizal where an injured nine-year-old girl was found with hands bound and neck tied.

Athena Imperial reported on "Saksi" Monday evening that the girl had bruises all over her body and was vomiting blood, which was a symptom of a brain injury.

According to an update on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon" Tuesday, the girl had confirmed on video that she had been strangled and raped.

She said she does not know the name of her perpetrator, but can recognize his face.

Community volunteers said drug paraphernalia was found in the area under the bridge, which is now believed to be a possible hideout for drug users.

"Marami po. Mga drug paraphernalia, mga foil, mga lighters, talagang hindi ninyo aakalain ma'am eh iyong lugar, meron palang ganoon sa ilalim ng tulay na talagang ginagawa palang puwestuhan ng mga adik," a community volunteer, Reylan Chavez, said.

The nine-year-old girl, who had been bleeding incessantly from her ear, is set to undergo a CT scan.

Meanwhile, as the investigation of the Women and Children's Protection Desk of the Cainta Police continues, the family of the victim has yet to give a statement. —Margaret Claire Layug/ LDF, GMA News
