Bistek’s brother Hero Bautista running for QC councilor anew

The younger brother of Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista on Monday filed his certificate of candidacy for councilor of the city's fourth district in the 2019 polls.

Hero Bautista, who is an incumbent councilor, was accompanied by Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, councilor Gian Sotto, and his sister Harlene Bautista in filing his certificate of candidacy before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Bautista said that he plans to continue the projects and programs he has started.

"I still have 'yung scholarship programs, pagtulong sa mga seniors, sa mga PWDs, may project ako diyan," he said.

"Lahat ng mga scholarship programs ko dire-diretso pa rin, 'yung medical-dental missions, 'yung barangay ID system inaayos ko na siya ngayon," he added.

Bautista said that he is ready to start anew and go back to serving his constituents, after he took a leave from his post in 2016 to undergo drug rehabilitation.

"Nung nakaraang term, meron akong dark days. Tapos na ako doon. Bumabawi ako sa tao para makatulong," he said.

"Siyempre, I've been absent for one year, so I'm back and working again," he added.
