Marikina River breaches 17-meter mark; 2nd Alarm still in place
Overnight downpours experienced in Metro Manila caused the Marikina River to swell past the 17-meter mark on Sunday morning, though local authorities kept the alert on the river at the Second Alarm.

Authorities in Marikina City take the following actions, depending on the alarm:
- Alarm Level 1 - Water level reaches 15 meters (Warning)
- Alarm Level 2 - Water level reaches 16-17 meters (Prepare)
- Alarm Level 3 - Water level reaches 18 meters (Forced Evacuation)
Despite the alert, Super Radyo dzBB reported that locals had begun evacuating as early as 6:15 a.m.
