Participants to Iglesia's walk vs. poverty swell to 900k early Sunday
Members of the Iglesia ni Cristo religions group continue to troop to Roxas Boulevard for their Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty, with their number swelling to 900,000 as of 8 a.m. Sunday.

A report on Super Radyo dzBB by Mao dela Cruz also said that 700 police personnel from the Southern Police District have been deployed to secure the event.
Authorities reminded motorists that the stretch of Roxas Boulevard from P. Burgos Street to Gil Puyat Avenue is closed to vehicles to give way for the event that started Saturday evening and is scheduled to end Sunday evening.
On the other hand, personnel from the Metro Manila Development Authority have also been mobilized to give assistance to the mammoth crowd that is expected to swell this Sunday until evening.
Motorists are likewise advised to use roads parallel to Roxas Boulevard —Ermita Street, Mabini Street and Taft Avenue —to get to their destination. —LBG, GMA News
