Family of Customs broker killed has lead on possible motive for crime
The family of Raymond Aniceto, the Customs broker who was killed in broad daylight on Monday in Caloocan City, said they may have an idea on the motive for the crime, according to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday by Victoria Tulad.
Family members are urging those behind the killing to heed their conscience and surrender to authorities.
"Napakabait ng anak ko. Walang bisyo, walang sigarilyo, walang alak... Mas tanggap pa nga namin kung naaksidente lang e. Pero 'yung pinatay siya, 'di namin kayang tanggapin 'yun e," said Reynaldo Aniceto, the victim's father.
Raymond, 25, was on his way to work on Monday morning when two men riding in tandem on a motorcycle went beside his car as it traversed D. Aquino Street in Barangay 46. The back rider fired shots, then the suspects fled the area immediately.
Raymond was pronounced dead on the spot.
Reynaldo said his youngest son was shot four times, hitting his shoulder, chest, and neck.
He added that there did not seem to be anything unusual with Raymond the past few days. As far as he knows, his son did not have any problem at work and did not have enemies.
The wake for Raymond began Monday. He will be buried on Thursday.
The Caloocan Police is currently investigating the incident.
"Medyo ano eh, planado. Sa area na makikita natin pwede siyang mag-slow down, pinattern po 'yung saan siya madalas dumadaan papasok, pauwi," said Senior Inspector Dave Capurcos, commander of Police Community Precinct 2 of the Caloocan Police. —KG, GMA News
