Tricycle driver shot dead in Manila

A tricycle driver was shot dead along Guazon Avenue in Paco, Manila late Monday evening, James Agustin reported for Super Radyo's dzBB.

The relatives of the victim, identified as Jimmy Liban, admitted that they have been asking him to stop using shabu for some time. The victim also surrendered in the past under the government's anti-illegal drugs campaign, Oplan Tokhang.

He was also jailed in the past for robbery charges.

A witness related that four to five shots were heard and that the suspects, two persons riding in tandem on a motorcycle, escaped in the direction of United Nations Avenue.

The witness did not see the faces of the suspects. — BAP/KG, GMA News
