Customs broker shot dead inside own car in Caloocan City


A man was shot dead inside his own car in Caloocan City on Monday morning, according to a report on Dobol B sa News TV by Tuesday Niu.

The victim, identified as Customs broker Raymond Aniceto, was found inside a black Honda City sedan parked on the curb of D. Aquino Street, between 4th and 3rd Avenue, by responding police after residents heard two gunshots ring off in the early hours of the morning.

No other person but the victim, seen in the driver's seat of the sedan, was found in the car which had the license plate DQ 6324. The sedan hit the sidewalk and stopped before it could hit the electric post.

A single bullet case was found on the street; the location of the second case is still unknown.

Police cordoned off the crime scene and in their initial assessment, found no direct witnesses to the shooting.

The victim's body was removed from the car before 9:30 a.m.

Caloocan City police found the victim's ID and other belongings inside the car.

Motorists were advised to use alternate routes such as P. Sevilla and F. Roxas while D. Aquino from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue is closed off for forensics. —Rie Takumi/KG, GMA News
