Motorist shouts cuss words at Makati City traffic enforcer

A traffic enforcer of the Makati Public Safety Department caught on video the verbal abuse he received  from an irate motorist on Wednesday night.

According to Vonne Aquino report on QRT, enforcer Leonardo Aguirre said in a report that he stopped a truck at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday to check if the driver had a permit to travel before 10 p.m.

After allowing the trucker to go after he was shown the necessary document, Aguirre said he crossed in front of the motorist's vehicle to return to the sidewalk.

This, he said, prompted the motorist to shout at him.

"Noong papatabi na ako sa kalsada, dumaan ako sa harapan ng sasakyan niya. Doon na siya nag-umpisa na PI ka, huwag kang haharang-harang sa daanan ko," Aguirre said.

"Tapos inano ko siya, sabi ko, sir, enforcer po ako. May sinita po ako na truck dito," he added.

Worried that the motorist had a gun, Aguirre pulled out his phone to video record their confrontation.

The motorist eventually returned to his car but refused to stop cursing even as he pulled away.

Aguirre reported the incident to the Makati police.

Makati police managed to trace the car's registration with the Land Transportation Office.
