Fire hits Bagbag Public Market and nearby houses in Novaliches
Thirty-six families lost homes and four persons were injured when fire broke out at a portion of the Bagbag Public Market near Quirino Highway in Barangay Sauyo, Novaliches, Quezon City on Wednesday morning.
The fire, which reached the fourth alarm, also hit some nearby houses, according to a report on Dobol B sa News TV by Allan Gatus.

The fire reportedly started at 8:10 a.m. at one house and quickly spread to neighboring houses, according to a report on News To Go.
One woman was hurt after she tried to enter her house to save some belongings. She suffered burns on her face.
Three others were injured—two firemen and one resident.
Twelve houses were destroyed.
Vendors and residents joined hands bayanihan-style in helping firemen put out the fire using whatever items they could find.
YouScooper Joseph Yap De Paz caught the fire scene on video.
Some residents were crying upon seeing their houses go up in flames.
Fire Senior Superintendent Manuel Manuel, fire marshall of the Quezon City Fire Department, said illegal connection may have been the cause of the fire. Investigation is ongoing as of posting time.
Damage was estimated by authorities to reach P300,000.
