Makati withdraws class suspension announcement in private schools

The local government of Makati City on Friday afternoon withdrew its initial announcement regarding class suspension in private schools on Monday, October 16, 2017, due to the scheduled transport strike.

In a post on Facebook, the Makati City government said it is leaving the decision to suspend classes to the discretion of private school officials.

Classes in all levels in public schools within the city, meanwhile, remained suspended.
