A member of the Aegis Juris fraternity, Solano maintained he is innocent of the charges filed against him.
He surrendered on Friday to Senator Panfilo Lacson who turned him over to Manila Police District director Chief Superintendent Joel Coronel.
Solano underwent medical examination at the Manila Police District Homicide Section before he was set free, a report on radio dzBB said.

The report also said his lawyers arrived at the MPD compound around 12 noon bringing with them the Department of Justice resolution and release order.
Solano was not immediately released Wednesday night when the DOJ issued the order as his lawyers have yet to receive the official copy of the resolution.
The report said his lawyers signed the blotter that they received Solano in good physical condition.
They left the MPD compound around 1 p.m. on board a gray vehicle.
Solano vowed to cooperate in the investigation and attend the preliminary investigation of the DOJ set on October 4.
Castillo was a neophyte who underwent "welcoming rites" of the Aegis Juris Fraternity on the weekend of September 16-17. His badly bruised body was brought by Solano to the Chinese General Hospital on the morning of September 17. Autopsy showed Castillo died of a massive heart attack due to the injuries he suffered during the hazing. —Amita Legaspi/KG/KVD, GMA News
