Messages seeking justice for alleged hazing victim Horacio "Atio" Castillo III filled the bulletin board of Aegis Juris fraternity inside the University of Santo Tomas Main Building.

UST students put notes, saying, "We cry for justice, #Remember Horacio," "Am I brother's killer?" and "I hope justice will find its way in this forsaken faculty #JusticeForHoracio."

They also condemn the death of the freshman law student, even calling the fratmen as "murderers" and "cowards."

"You made a mistake, it is human to err but face the consequences. A life was lost," one post read.

"Mga Kuya, what have you done?" another one added.

Castillo died after attending Aegis Juris' "welcoming rites." Authorities confirmed that he died from injuries sustained after undergoing hazing.

The victim's family learned about the incident when his mother Carminia Castillo received an anonymous text message saying that her son had been brought to the Chinese General Hospital.

On Monday, the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs conducted a hearing on Castillo's death.

Castillo's body will be laid to rest on Wednesday at Manila Memorial Park. — RSJ, GMA News
