Cops seize bomb-making note from Abu Sayyaf member detained at Bicutan jail


Policemen on Monday seized a note with written bomb-making instructions from an Abu Sayyaf member jailed at the Metro Manila District Jail (MMDJ) in Bicutan, Taguig City.

Superintendent Eleazar Mata, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office's (NCRPO) regional intelligence division, said the Abu Sayyaf member is detained at the the MMDJ's Special Intensive Care Area (SICA) 1, located inside Camp Bagong Diwa.

Mata said several Abu Sayyaf members are also detained at SICA 1. He declined to name the member caught with the bomm-making note.

A radio dzBB report said dozens of members of the NCRPO's Regional Safety Battalion and intelligence operatives conducted a four-hour Oplan Galugad at the MMDJ, which started at around 6 a.m.

The policemen also made a surprise inspection at SICA 2, where pieces of papers with cellphone numbers were seized from detained members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Moro National Liberation Front.

Also seized during the raid were three cellular phones. —ALG, GMA News
