80 families lose homes in Tondo fire
An estimated 80 families lost their homes in a fire that engulfed a residential area in Tondo, Manila on Thursday night, a report on Unang Balita on Friday said.
The fire on Antipolo Street near Abad Santos Street started past 5 p.m. and raged until past 9 p.m. when it was put out, GMA News' Vonne Aquino reported.
About 40 homes were razed as the fire quickly spread among the houses made of light materials.

The fire reached Task Force Alpha as firemen had difficulty putting it out.
One of the residents fainted and was immediately given first aid treatment.
Residents said they first saw black smoke coming out of the house of one Nelia Morales.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire may have been due to an electrical problem.
Most of the victims spent the night at the houses of relatives.
The BFP said estimated cost of damage is more or less P2 million. —KG, GMA News
