Pasig City releases traffic advisory for ‘Paskotitap 2016’

Pasig City in Metro Manila has announced road closures and traffic rerouting to make way for the events of the city's Christmas revelry on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Frontera Verde Tiendesitas.

The city's Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) said the following roads will be temporarily closed at 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 to give way for the float parade highlighting the Christmas festivity dubbed "Paskotitap 2016":

• Frontera Verde Road
• Eagle St.
• Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave.(from Rosario up to Kapasigan)
• Ortigas Ave. - Eastbound from Green Meadows to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave.
• E. Rodriguez Ave. - from Eagle St. to Ortigas Ave.
• Pasig Blvd. - Vargas Bridge/Rotonda
• A. Mabini St.
• Plaza Rizal Intersection
• Caruncho Ave. (both directions)
• F. Manalo St. - fronting City Hall

Motorists who will be affected by the road closures may take the following alternate routes:

• vehicles going to Rotonda from Shaw Blvd. and Bg. Ilog via Vargas Bridge, take M. Flores St., to cross Sta. Rosa de Lima Bridge, left to A. Luna St. to destination.
• vehicles going to Tiendesitas/SM Hypermart from Ortigas Ave., take E. Rodriguez Ave. (C-5 Road) to destination.
• vehicles going to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. from C-5 Road, take Ortigas Ave. Extension to destination.
• vehicles going to Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. from Ortigas Ave. Extension, take C. Raymundo Ave. to destination.
• vehicles going to Eastern Rizal/Tiendesitas via Ortigas Ave., take Rodriguez/Lanuza St., left to J. Vargas Ave. to destination
• vehicles going to Eastern Rizal/Marikina from C-5 Road, take Ortigas Flyover, right Industria St. to cross Manalo Bridge to Amang Rodriguez Ave. to destination
• vehicles going to Eastern Rizal/Floodway from Ortigas Ave. Extension, take Greenmeadows St., right to E. Rodriguez Ave., left to Industria St., to cross Manalo Bridge, right to A. Rodriguez to destination
• vehicles going to Mega Market/San Joaquin from Rotonda, take C. Raymundo Ave., right to Mercedez Ave., right to Market Ave. to destination.
• vehicles going to Rotonda/Quiapo/Crossing from Pasig Mega Market, take F. Manalo St., left to E. Angeles St., left to. C. Raymundo Ave. to destination.
• vehicles going to Eastern Rizal/Ever from Pasig Mega Market, take Market Ave., left to Mercedez Ave., right to C. Raymundo Ave. to destination.
• vehicles going to Mega Market from San Joaquin/Pateros, take G. Raymundo St. left to F. Manalo St., right to Caruncho Ave. to destination, or take Elisco Road, left to M. Jimenez St., to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to F. Antonio St., left to Balderrama St. to destination.
• vehicles going to Rotonda from San Joaquin/Pateros, take San Guillermo St., right to C-5 Road, right to Pasig Blvd. to destination.
• vehicles going to San Joaquin/Pateros from Pasig Mega Market, take Road 2, right to Caruncho Ave., left to F. Manalo St., left to F. Antonio St., right to Pio Alvarez St., to cross Kalawaan Bridge, right to Elisco Road to destination.
