Commuters hurt as MRT-3 escalator malfunctions

An escalator at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3's (MRT-3) Taft Avenue station malfunctioned on Tuesday injuring several commuters.

In a Twitter post, the MRT-3 said that its medical personnel have been mobilized to assist passengers at the Taft station escalator.

Engr. Deo Manalo, MRT-3 general manager, told radio dzBB in an interview that 10 commuters were hurt during the incident.

Manalo said all victims suffered minor injuries. —ALG, GMA News
