NCRPO reports zero crime in Metro Manila during Pacquiao fight

No crime incidents were reported in Metro Manila during Manny Pacquiao's fight in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (PHL time).

"We have not recorded any crime incident on the duration of his fight," National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said in a statement released after Pacquio's fight.

NCRPO director Chief Superintendent Oscar Albayalde said the victory of the "Pambansang Kamao" is a "victory for peace" after monitoring zero crime in the metropolis.

"The National Capital Region Police Office renders its salute to Sen. Manny Pacquiao for his victory. His victory today is another victory for peace," Albayalde said in a statement.

Pacquiao, fighting for the first time since winning a Senate seat in May, defeated his American foe Jessie Vargas via unanimous decision for the WBO welterweight belt in their bout in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Pacquiao took the title after winning in the judges' scorecards, 114-113, 118-109, and 118-109.

"Another win for peace and honor for the Philippines," Albayalde said. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/ALG, GMA News
