Concordia Bridge in Manila closed to heavy vehicles
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) closed to heavy vehicles the Concordia Bridge along Quirino Avenue in Manila.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) posted on its official Twitter account on Tuesday the DPWH advisory that indicated that the closure was due to safety concerns as the bridge is in need of repair.

The DPWH advisory said the closure of the bridge to heavy vehicles began on June 28.
Only light vehicles — motorcycles, tricycles, and cars with gross weights of not more than 4,500 kilograms — are allowed to traverse the bridge.
Heavy vehicles, on the other hand, are advised to take Otis and Guanzon streets in Manila.
The closure of the bridge caused gridlocks in some roads near the bridge including Ramon Magsaysay Blvd.
