Cops nab 7 suspected drug pusher, users in Manila raid
Manila police personnel apprehended seven people during a raid Saturday evening in Manila's Sampaloc district.
In a report on dzBB, Manila Police District operatives held a certain Maritess Celocia, allegedly a known drug pusher in the area.
Held along with Celocia were Joemer De Leon, Niño Pineda, Danny Crispo, Arnold Pineda, Romulo Benito, and Reynaldo Delos Santos.
Police supposedly caught the six men in the act of using shabu at Celocia's house along Ma. Cristina Street in Sampaloc at about 9:15 p.m.
Seized from the suspects were eight sachets of alleged shabu with an estimated street value of P50,000 and drug paraphernalia.
Autorities acted on a tip that Celocia's house was being used as drug den, the report said.
Celocia denied receiving the P500 marked money for the buy-bust operation, the report added.
Police said all suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/LBG, GMA News
