Jalosjos scion nabbed for skipping probation duties
A son of former Dapitan City Mayor Dominador Jalosjos Jr. was arrested by policemen for skipping his probation duties in relation to the court's order that found him guilty of rape, an exclusive report on "24 Oras" said Tuesday.
Dominador Jalosjos III's arrest at a residential area in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City was captured on video, a copy of which was obtained by GMA News' Emil Sumangil.
"Noong time na pinagre-report siya, hinanap siya ng judge. Hindi siya nakasipot ng two times so dineny yung application nya for probation," said Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Southern Metro Manila chief Romy Lanzarrote.
Under Presidential Decree 1990, a convicted criminal is released but subject to conditions imposed by a trial court judge and to the supervision of a probation officer.
Apart from rape, Jalosjos was also accused of operating a robbery ring in Pasay City.
"Siya ang pinakalider ng mga robber, snatching dyan. Yung mga pickpocket sa may Rotunda. Siya ang pinakalider, lahat ng mga nakukulimbat ng grupo, siya ang tagasalya," said Lanzarrote.
Jalosjos denied the charges against him as he insinuated politics as motive for his arrest.
"Walang katotohanan yun. Kumbaga gawa gawa lang ng mga taong galit din sa akin," he said.
"Kita kita na lang kami 'pag lumaya ako. Wala naman akong ginawang masama sa kanila eh." —Virgil Lopez/NB, GMA News
