The UP Faculty Center after the fire

The fire that engulfed the Faculty Center in the University of the Philippines - Diliman early Friday(April 1) took away decades of research and incalculable losses in terms of archived materials.

On Saturday, writer Kin Enriquez shared photos showing the extent of the structural damage done to the building. Enriquez used to work as a Student Assistant (SA) for the Department of History and he lamented the amount of valuable records that were lost to the fire.

Despite the tragedy, professors, students, and graduates from the university responded with hope and optimism by organizing drives to rebuild and replace what was lost. — AT, GMA News
