Fire hits University of the East in Manila
Fire struck the University of the East's (UE) Recto campus in Manila on Saturday.
A video submitted by Lennie Daluz to GMA News shows thick black smoke coming from the campus. Reports confirm that the building on fire is the University of the East.

The fire broke out at past 9:30 a.m. on the second flood of the university's College of Arts and Sciences Building.
Additional reports from radio dzBB said that the fire reached the fifth alarm before it was declared under control at past 11 a.m.
A report on "Balitanghali" said that the fire spread to more buildings inside the campus and fire investigators have estimated the damage at P22 million.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire. No one was reported hurt during the fire. —AT/ALG, GMA News
