Passengers flock to Araneta Bus Station before Holy Week

Days before the Holy Week, passengers started flocking to the Araneta Bus Terminal in Quezon City on Monday to book tickets or to take an early trip to the provinces.

According to a report by Mav Gonzales on Unang Balita, some bus companies said they were already fully booked from March 19 to 24 as of Monday.

Bus companies assured they will not increase ticket prices despite the high demand.

According to Jason, a ticket seller from Mega Bus, most of the trips this Holy Week are bound for Bicol.

“Karamihan ang pasahero ay pa-Bicol lang. Ang mga pa-Visayas ay hindi naman maraming pasahero,” Jason said.

The first trip from the Araneta Bus Terminal leaves at 2 a.m. while the last strip takes off at 9 p.m.
