At least 20 grams of suspected shabu were discovered in Dormitory 9A.
The inmate found to be in possession of the suspected drugs will be brought to the NBI and will be charged, the report said.
BuCor personnel conducted the raid called Oplan Galugad at Building 11 of the Maximum Security Compound where private quarters called "kubol" owned by some inmates were found.
Authorities ordered the demolition of the "kubol" and shanties or barung-barong.
According to the report, the "kubol" structures were built in the past year.
NBP officials said the "kubol" structures served as "tambayan" and rest areas for inmates.
Aside from these being eyesores, the "kubol" structures, which are near the fence of the NBP compound, also obstructed the view of prison guards stationed at the watch tower.
NBP officials said because of the location of the "kubol" structures, there were instances when contraband items were thrown over the fence to be given to inmates.
Thursday's Oplan Galugad was the fourteenth raid conducted by BuCor in NBP. —KG, GMA News
