Another taxi driver goes viral for rude, reckless behavior
Another taxi driver has become the subject of a viral post this week for rude and reckless behavior. The driver, identified as Rolando Camara, was photographed yelling at Hannah Quiwa's father after they refused to pay the extra P50 she conditionally agreed to before getting in the taxi.
Quiwa posted about her experience on January 8, detailing the encounter. She was with two young relatives (15 and 10) at the time and she told Camara that she would give him P50 extra "if there was really that much traffic" on their way to a mall. According to Quiwa, "the driver was complaining and swearing throughout the whole time he was driving."

Quiwa said the driver was belligerent during the drive, even taking issue with her for talking on the phone to a friend about GrabTaxi.
Quiwa said the driver also deliberately took a longer route. Upon arriving at their destination, Quiwa's father met the car and asked Camara why he should add an additional P50 to the meter. The driver began shouting and the security guards at the mall interfered. Before he drove away, Camara yelled at them, "Put*ng ina! Dahil lang [sa] 50 pesos magpapakamatay ka[,] gago!"
Other Facebook users advised Quiwa to report the incident to the police. After being tagged in the post, LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez sent a reply: "We will issue the Show Cause Order on Monday and require the operator and driver to appear before our Board for investigation. Appropriate penalties will be imposed upon the driver and operator as the evidence may warrant," he said.
On Tuesday (January 5), a video of taxi driver Roger Catipay cursing at passengers went viral on social media. The driver was brought to the LTFRB and is currently facing various charges with the risk of having his license revoked. His wife asked the women who uploaded the video and filed the complaint to let Catipay off, but the LTFRB stated that they will still pursue a case of unjust vexation, threat, and possible minor physical injury against Catipay even if the complainants drop the charges. — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
