Province-bound passengers continue to troop to Cubao bus terminal

Thousands of passengers bound for the provinces continue to troop to the Araneta Center bus terminal in Cubao, Quezon City even during the last day of the holiday break.

Ramoncito Legaspi, officer-in-charge at the bus terminal, said at least 9,000 passengers have booked for Sunday tickets to Bicol and Visayas provinces.

Legaspi said there are at least 320 bus trips scheduled to leave.

The long holiday break ends on Sunday as classes and work resume on Monday, January 4.

Legaspi also said that they are expecting passengers from the provinces to return on Sunday.

However, he said the arrival of passengers from Bicol may be delayed because several main roads in Quezon province were still damaged because of Typhoon Nona. —ALG, GMA News
