The fire was declared under control around 7:36 a.m., the report said.
Jovita Ocampo, owner of Ocampo Trading, said she could not determine what may have caused the fire since their electric wirings are in order.
Most of the junk shop's inventory such as scrap wood, steel, and rubber were burned in the incident.
Damage was estimated to cost anywhere from P500,000 to P1 million.
Fire Marshall Supt. Jonas Silvano of the Valenzuela Fire Department said they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
One of the things they are looking at is a possible problem with the electricity or power supply.
The firemen advised warehouses to inspect their electrical wirings regularly. —KG, GMA News
