MRT suffers glitch on Monday, limits operations
(Updated 10:17 a.m.) Commuters were inconvenienced on Monday morning after the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) suffered a glitch, limiting trips from Shaw Boulevard to Taft Avenue stations, and vice versa, a report on Unang Balita said.
The glitch was due to a problem with the rails.
Announcements were repeatedly made in the stations to inform passengers of the limited operations.

Traffic became heavy on EDSA southbound as commuters crowded the streets to get bus rides.

Operations went back to normal before 8 a.m. after the rails were checked by MRT personnel.
