Erap files COC for Manila mayor

Former President and current Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada filed his certificate of candidacy for mayor of Manila on Wednesday.

From Liwasang Bonifacio, Estrada walked with his supporters to the Commission on Elections office in Arroceros in Manila to file his COC.

The rains did not stop his entourage from proceeding to Comelec.

Estrada said he can still do a marathon from Roxas Boulevard to Baguio, in answer to former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim's challenge for them to go jogging. Lim filed his COC for mayor of Manila on Tuesday.

Estrada was accompanied by Honey Lacuna and thousands of supporters.

The ex-president is the 8th candidate for Manila mayor for the 2016 polls as of posting time. —KG, GMA News
