2 dead in multiple-vehicle crash in Marikina

(Updated 4:26 p.m.) Two people were killed following a multiple-vehicle collision in Barangka, Marikina City before noon Wednesday.

 

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority reported that A. Bonifacio Avenue in Barangka was closed due to the multiple collision involving at least seven vehicles at around 11:35 a.m.

 

Radio dzBB tweeted that two people have been confirmed killed as of 11:55 a.m.

Radio dzBB also reported that 14 people, including four staff members of GMA 7's weekend noontime show, Sunday Pinasaya, were hurt in the accident.

The report said that the driver of a truck, which ploughed through vehicles along A. Bonifacio Avenue, was being pulled out from the vehicle.
