Two men in LRT-Carriedo brawl face charges

The two men who were caught on video brawling at the Light Rail Transit's Carriedo Station are facing charges for causing alarm and scandal, a TV report said Monday.

In the viral video that was taken Friday afternoon, the two men were seen punching each other for about a minute until a security guard intervened and brought them to the nearest police station.

"Pina-process ngayon iyong pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso sa kanilang dalawa. Kasi nga somehow nagkaroon tayo ng alarm and scandal at na-endanger ang safety ng mga pasahero," Light Rail Transit Authority spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera said in a report on "24 Oras."

He added the altercation may have started while the two were still inside the train.

Meanwhile, the Manila Police District Police Community Precinct did not detain the two men for long since they agreed to settle the issue. —Trisha Macas/KBK, GMA News
